David is a seasoned banking executive with more than 40 years of experience leading financial institutions through diverse economic cycles. Known for his expertise in turning around underperforming banks, he has consistently delivered exceptional shareholder value and operational excellence. His ability to cultivate transformative cultures, mitigate risk effectively, and ensure rigorous regulatory compliance distinguishes him as a leader in the banking industry. 

After earning a bachelor of science in Business Administration from Drake University in 1979, David’s career included leadership roles with three banks in Iowa and at Drummond Community Bank. At Drummond, he oversaw de novo branch expansions, developed innovative pricing models, and achieved record earnings growth. 

David exemplifies servant leadership, emphasizing community engagement and teamwork. He has served as a federal tax preparer, past President and Treasurer of the Rotary Club of Chiefland, and an advocate for community development. His commitment to trust, integrity, and excellence continues to guide his work at Lafayette State Bank, where he is focused on scaling the bank by safely growing its profitability.

Jessica is passionate about building strong teams, improving processes, and creating meaningful customer experiences. Since joining the bank in the early 2000s, she’s had the opportunity to grow alongside our organization and develop a deep appreciation for the relationships we’ve built within our communities.

She leads the bank’s day-to-day operations while also overseeing human resources and supporting strategic initiatives that drive growth and long-term success. Jessica also serves as Board Secretary and Audit Coordinator, helping to ensure we maintain the highest standards of integrity and compliance. She is deeply committed to our core values--trusted relationships, compassion, and exceptional service--and takes pride in supporting both our employees and the communities we serve.

Todd joined Lafayette State Bank in 2023, bringing more than 30 years of experience in accounting, financial operations, and leadership within the banking industry.

As CFO, he oversees financial operations including financial reporting, budgeting, liquidity management, and regulatory reporting. He enjoys being part of the executive team, contributing to the bank’s strategic direction and helping ensure we operate with strong financial integrity.

Prior to Lafayette State Bank, he served as CFO at Drummond Community Bank, where he was part of a team that grew the bank from $375 million to more than $1 billion in assets. He also spent 15 years as CFO at The Perkins State Bank.

He earned his Accounting degree with honors from the University of Florida and takes pride in being a detail-oriented, analytical, and reliable resource for our team.

Gloria joined Lafayette State Bank with 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in retail banking leadership, lending, information security, and customer experience. She oversees all retail operations, strategic growth initiatives, and information security governance while ensuring full compliance with FDIC, OFR, and FFIEC standards.

Before moving into executive leadership, she served as one of our branch managers and mortgage originators, leading branch operations, strengthening customer relationships, and growing the lending portfolio.

Prior to joining LSB, she spent seven years at Ameris Bank (originally Bank of America), serving as a loan officer, banker specialist, and branch IT support. Her professional experience began at Sutherland Global Services as an IT Resource Specialist, which provided her a strong foundation in technology, systems support and troubleshooting.

Gloria is bilingual in English and Spanish and has lending experience in consumer, residential and commercial sectors. She takes pride in her ability to creatively drive business development and to deliver exceptional service. She has leveraged these skills by creating and teaching professional development curriculum and building strong client and community relationships.

Jacey joined the banking industry in the early 2000s as an intern through a high school program. Over the course of her career, she has worked in various departments, including teller operations, bookkeeping, accounting, branch management, customer service, consumer lending, and commercial lending.

Her diverse background has provided her a well-rounded understanding of banking operations and client services. Working in commercial lending has been especially rewarding for Jacey, as it has allowed her to help clients in her small-town community turn their dreams into reality.
